Guild Wars 2

Hello great people of the forums,

Just bought this very nice game!
I was just wondering though, what class would fit me best?
(Want my first class to be my mainstay)

I prefer heavy armor/shields/swords & IF possible (slight) offensive/defensive magic.
Will be going Human first.

Guardian sounds right up your alley. They wear heavy armor, use a variety of melee and ranged weapons, and have a good mix of offensive utility/defensive utility spells.

Warrior focuses purely on the weapons and martial arts with basically no magic, Guardian on the other hand uses magic with almost every attack. Both are heavily armored, sword and board. Warrior is very offensive, Guardian is more defensive and team support – but can definitely be played as dps focused. Based on your description I recommend Guardian as your first toon.
