I am new to GW2 and also my first time playing a P2P game.
I would like to play a class that rely greatly on agility.
Something like a fast hack and slash.
Preferably dual wielding.
Is there any suggestion?
Different games have different take on the “thief” class, I hated it when they make it excel in poison and stealth only, but not too much on being agile in combat.

yeah, thief is the fastest class both in attacks, escapes and mobility.

Thief is the fastest, because it’s skills have no recharge times, unlike other professions, but it instead has to make payment to use it’s skills using Initiative, it’s own currency consumed to activate skills, which will regenerate over time.

In Heart of Thorns, the upcoming expansion pack, a new profession is being released, the Revenant, who will also be a “no recharge” style class, with an energy mechanic to pay for activating skills, so if Thief doesn’t please you, Revenant could be an option when it arrives.

Ranger also has good access to quickness, evades, stealth and poison. In addition to thief. Check them both out.

Well, high mobility and dual wielding, that would indeed be a thief..

The class mechanic of the thief is Initiative.. You can perfectly make a thief that does not rely on stealth or poison at all..
