Guild Wars 2

I have been trying to do the world completion along with generally farming for the karma exotic armor sets. I am aiming for power/vit/tough. This requires me to visit multiple temples as not one set has all 3 stats for every piece. However, I am noticing that these temples are almost never taken by the players anymore. I have attempted on several occasions to camp the zones, hoping in vein that a group will come by and form up to take these, but with little success. It’s bad enough that there is very rarely anyone there to help, but they are also almost impossible to take by a small group of helpful players!

How am I supposed to accomplish world completion if I can’t access the temples and get their skill points? What am I to do with all my karma if I can’t spend it on any pieces? Maybe it’s the server I am on that is to blame. Anvil Rock. Does anybody have any better recommendations, or is this happening to all the servers since FotM hit the servers?

Is attaining world completion a lost cause? Please. I am desperate for some advice!

Its not just your server, its a pretty common problem now. There is little reason to go to orr now that you cannot farm karma. The only reason people now go to orr is to finish their personal story(and not a lot of players will do this on a second toon, since it tends to be more trouble than its worth), and farm nodes if your hurting for cash.

There will occasionally be a bathazar raid to get someone shards for their legendary, but that is pretty much it. As for map completion, temps do not need to be unlocked to get skill points/poi/waypoints.

I must be mistaken, but I swear I saw some sort of shield like bubble preventing me from accessing the skill point when we did not have access to the temple. I will have to check again…

What profession are you? I have found that Thief is wonderful for zipping through Orr, using stealth and shadow refuge to commune at skill points (very few of them are combat ones; I did need friends for those), and dodging/caltropping the mobs as I nab pois and wp’s. The Temples can be under Risen control and still have all the exploration points available if you have a way to survive running through the undead. I just finished Straits today mostly solo.

Then again I’m also on Tarnished Coast which has plenty of Orr action going on even now. If you are free to transfer and can find an opening on TC (usually full), you might want to try. Be advised it is the unofficial RP server so you may well see people talking in character, though less of that in Orr given the difficulty of typing a coherent long sentence while in constant combat …

Are you referring to the zephyr temple skill point? I did that one a few days ago, and even though it looked like it was in the temple shield, it was oh-so-slightly in the outside of it on the back side.

I am on Gunnar’s Hold and was able to acquire the temple armour with the stats you want without too much trouble. I use medium armour, and if you do as well remember that there is currently no temple p/t/v stat leggings …

This is where I got mine:
Boots – Arah entrance – this is usually clear as players do Arah dungeon
Leggings – medium temple does not exist (I use AC leggings for this stat)
Gloves – Grenth – longest wait, but on GH it does get cleared now and again
Coat – Dwayna – this is cleared more often on GH
Shoulders – Dwayna
Helm – Dwayna
