Q:
What does CDI mean
A:
Collaborative Development Initiative
Collaborative Development Initiative? Not certain about initiative, seems to fit, the first two words are correct.
Thanks, I was wondering the same thing. I keep seeing CDI mentioned in the forums and until now, I had no idea what that meant.

Putting what the acronym means doesn’t say what the term means.
Exactly who is in the CDI?
How many players are in the CDI?
Please explain it as you would to an Army recruit – the term needs a clear definition from whmoever is using the term.
Many thanks.
It’s a series of threads where one or more of the Developers places a topic up for discussion and usually interacts, more or less, with the forum posters gathering feedback and tossing around ideas pertaining to said topic. The Devs then take whatever has been, again more or less, agreed upon in the thread(s) back to the Development table and the Devs decide what, and how much, to integrate said decisions into the next implementation of content or features.
This might help. It’s a sticky thread on this very sub-forum.

Because we can’t be angry about both?
i know i am hijacking the thread but since we’re talking about short cuts, what does API stand for?
ppl talk about it but nothing, even the official API thread doesn’t say anything about what it’s entails.
API – Application Program Interface.
API, an abbreviation of application program interface, is a set of routines, protocols, and tools for building software applications. The API specifies how software components should interact and are used when programming graphical user interface (GUI) components. A good API makes it easier to develop a program by providing all the building blocks. A programmer then puts the blocks together.
CDI=Collaborative Development Initiative=A GW2 oxymoron.
