I am looking into what sort of gear as a player I might benefit from to become a better player. Of course, some of this depends on playing style, but still to have the right programmable gaming mouse, headset, chat client, running shoes and swetband can make all the difference.

I am looking to re-start a thread about what game supporting gear players could benefit from. Please feel free to tell us what you use and why you use it. As play styles varry, knowing why could be as valuavle as knowing what.

effectively, the only requirement in my opinion is all masterwork or better gear at your level.
which stat type is totally up to you and should compliment your skills and traits
personally, I have a short bow/long bow ranger with full exotic berserker gear (highest damage)
I also have a greatsword/sword+focus mesmer with full exotic knight’s gear (high toughness, high damage)
it all just depends on what you want :P

http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Item
Exotic is 165% the stats of Basic, and Masterwork is 135% the stats of Basic, so Masterwork is 81.8% the stats of Exotic. A difference in player skills will easily make up that difference and more.

a good gaming mouse helps as it allows you to customize your hotbar in a way thats optimal to you, say you struggle to hit that number 6 on your keyboard for that heal, you can bind it to mouse so its just a thumb click away.

The more mouse buttons you get the more freedom you have (though I dislike too many mouse buttons as it changes the feel of the mouse)

Same goes for keyboards with customization extra buttons, though less game changing than the programmable mouse the freedom it offers you can help a lot.

Outside of those two things there isn’t much, a good headset thats comfortable keeps the sound nice and prevents and hassle with em sliding off etc, ventrillo/mumble etc etc allow you to coordinate easier with friends and such in situations that get better the more coordinated you are, but they are either situational or comes down to being comfortable while your gaming.

Depends upon alot of factors, however if you craft your armor you wil be effective. You can craft exotic quality armor at max level and it provides you the ability to craft runes for it too. So at that point you can just farm the mats for your gear and move onto something else. There are names like Berzerker that are popular and you should see the effects of them and decide for yourself.

An android cell phone also works a little bit, at least for the timers and LFG apps..

It’s a pile of Elonian protection magic, mixed with a little monk training,
wrapped up in some crazy ritualist hoo-ha from Cantha.
A real grab bag of ‘you can’t hurt me. They’re called Guardians.
