Title says it all, I just hit 80 and im going p/p and a rifle. What gear would you recommend?

Someone mentioned viper, but I can’t find any of the gear on the tp.

have to craft viper. alternatively you can craft sinister. viper is the newer better version of sinister. They are not on TP because they are acount bound once you craft it. If its exotic its soul bound. You can get sinister ascended accessorizes from achievements.

I think sinister or rabid are probably the best bet.

Or viper, but I haven’t really looked into the quadruple attribute sets yet and I’ve always felt like condition duration was a bit pointless on a primarily condition build because you can often re-apply them faster than they run out.

I think I’m going to go for rabid when my engi gets to 80, simply because I already use sinister on my ranger and I’m not as good at playing the engi so I think the toughness would help.

That doesn’t make any sense. The goal is to not have 1 “stack” of condis up, it’s to have as many stacks as possible.

If you hit the 100% condi duration breakpoint, that literally doubles your condi damage. That’s huge.

In PvP/wvw sinister is preferable, since the dps is higher than Viper’s per tick, and players will try and clear stacks frequently. If you’re facing PvE bosses Viper’s becomes better because each application will do it’s full duration in damage.

Note that the max duration increase is 100%, and burning outperforms all other condi damage at the moment. So if you need to chose to max one duration, go for burning.
