Totally new here but I was wondering what god to pick in the background creation area.
I have a human ranger to start with, and amongst the gods i saw one god that favours nature like animals(melandru) but also a god that favors everthing from the spirit (kormir)

Is there a right choice to make or is it all just personal opinion?

totally personal opinion. It only makes a difference for a priest in your home who doesnt do anything but be there.

At the moment the choice you make has no impact on gameplay, so you can choose whichever you want.

I chose Melandru for my ranger because of the association with nature (in GW1 she was the patron deity of rangers but they’ve loosened the associations in this game), but you can choose whichever fits best with you and your character.

Edit: I should mention that as far as we know there are no plans for it to impact gameplay later on either. But it’s possible it will one day.
