that is not so expensive

Currently i have the ugly gladiator armor set, I only have 16g atm, i want to save up for the protector’s armor but its 119g and will take me ages. I can’t stand to look at this armor for another minute. So what armor is decent looking, but not so expensive?

Good looking is a matter of opinion. I can tell you which armor sets I like, but you might think they’re ugly.

Best bet is to have a look through an armor gallery for sets you like (or pieces to mix and match) and then see how you get them so you can find one you like that’s in your price range.

Partially because it’s got them all on one page so it’s easy to compare, but also because it lists every set with that skin, whereas a lot of them only give each set one name, which is usually the level 80 rare/exotic version and therefore also the most expensive and hardest to get. I don’t want to waste money on a set of exotic armor if all I want is the skin and there’s crafted blues on the TP that look exactly the same.

Well more information is needed before some one can tell you what good looking armor is for you. I assume you are a human warrior or guardian since those are the only ones that can use protectors. Also i assume you don’t really want any dark/fire/evil armor if you are looking to get protectors. Personally if those assumptions are true than i would say get avengers armor. This armor is about 7 gold so it might be too much for you right now (also it is rare not exotic). Another suggestion is to get the Invaders armor. but isn’t the avengers armor only for lvl 60s? is there lvl 80 avengers?

Correct, thats why i said its only rare not exotic. If you want it to have max stats(exotic for now) you would need to use transmutation crystals.

If you want to see what any armor or weapons look like on your character, search the items on the black lion trading post and do previews. You can do this at dungeon and karma merchants also. I did that for every armor before i purchased the one i decided looked best.

The argos soft site include the preview code for each piece so you don’t even need to do that

The other option is to use the PvP locker to preview. Everything in one place(including a few that are not available in PvE).
