What is the best way to offer help?
You can try to go on starting areas and ask on /map if any new players need help.
Also, you can use the LFG tool to advertise you’re teaching a dungeon path for example to new players.
In short, make yourself available and let them come to you.
If i remember correctly a while back someone made a guild dedicated to helping players out ( check a few pages back). You might consider contacting that person and see if you can join the guild.
It actually helps a lot to have a friend or small group rather than 1 on 1 assistance unless you already know the person. A lone player helping another lone player (especially if it’s a guy trying to help a girl) can arouse suspicion, a duo or trio is less awkward.
Just jump on LFG tools, and say ‘No 80, no speed-run, newcomers only.’ You will be very popular
I really enjoy helping people who need it.
Sometimes, I think they are unsure about my/your intensions.
I understand that but what can you do….
I guess what I’m trying say, how do to offer help without them thinking something other than you just want to help.
I’m a little clueless here, help me be friendly……without being too friendly.
I’m not the best, but I’m decent. I want to help others….I just want to do it in the right way and have them feel good about it.
Join a guild and speak with the guild leader about developing a noobie helping program. As a guild leader I’m actually looking for someone to help me develop this for my guild as well!
