How long do corpses with loot have before they disappear from the open world?

As long as it takes them to respawn, which varies from zone to zone. Someone with a better memory can fill in the blank but I think it’s around 2-4 minutes.

I don’t know, I keep meaning to test this one in a few areas.

Sometimes it takes a while before you can get around all the bodies with loot to collect it all.

So I don’t know if the time is a set time, or if you move too far away from a lootable corpse it disappears.

Good question, can anybody shed some light on this ?

(It’s not equal to the re-spawn time).

Just tested in Wayfarer Foothills.
Icebrood wolf have a 2 minute spawn timer
lootable dead body lasted 3.5 minutes.

Screenshot shows seconds after the last icebrood(the one with the dead body) spawned and dead body was still there.

A Dev confirmed it was 3 mins.

hmm, i have witnessed different, maybe in regular situations. But i have seen that with de’s where you have to kill several waves, you can wait till the last wave before collecting and not loosing a thing. So maybe there the three minutes starts as soon as the event is over. In instances body’s stay till looted or that you leave the instance.
