For those that are good with the math I’m just wondering how much damage is lost using soldier armor over berserker armor

Berserker
Attack: 3121
Crit Chance: 53%
Crit Damage: 100%
Armor: 1936
Health: 13805

vs

Soldier
Attack: 3076
Crit Chance: 46%
Crit Damage: 96%
Armor: 2160
Health: 16045

It doesn’t look like I’m losing that much damage vs the extra 2240 HP

I don’t know about math but based on my experience, the damage different is about 1-3k in my Lightning hammer auto attack in sub-optimal conditions. I take Berserker for dungeons any times of the day.

The Attack stat is not useful for calculating damage. What is your Power?

Edit: Why is your Attack different between the two? Berserker and Soldier provide the same amount of Power. You seem to be changing something else as well.

Assuming you had the same Power in both the Berserker set would be increasing your base damage by 79.5% while the Soldier set would increase base damage by 67.16% on average.

The reason why that attack is different is because I have different runes in soldier armor to keep the crit chance and crit damage up.

berserker power is 2150 and soldier is 2105

In that case it is a bit hard to compare, we are not only looking at soldier vs zerker, but 2 builds, one using soldier armor with offensive runes and other zerker with apparently a kinda of defensive runes.

Looking at the numbers you provided the soldier build looks better since you lose a really small amount of damage (-45 power, -7% crit and -4% crit damage) but you gain a really nice defense (2240 HP, 224 armor).

I can’t tell exactly how much DPS you’ll lose going soldier, but I guarantee that it will be barely noticeable, but the survivability will be noticeable for sure.

Looks like you would be losing about 9.6% damage on average but the additional survivability would be surviving maybe 1 extra hit or a few more seconds of conditions assuming this is PvE.

That would assume you are going to be making the same amount of attacks which isn’t necessarily true. The additional health and armor may allow you to use your defensive skills/heal less frequently which means you could be attacking more often and then everything above can be thrown out the window because trying to get any accurate number from that would be very difficult.

On the other hand your choice of runes’ and their #6(possibly #4 as well) effect and your traits could magnify the difference in damage.
