Q:
What level will a crafted weapon be?
A:
Once you have the recipe discovered you can look at the tooltip for all required data when you mouseover the icon on the top.
If you want to see what you get beforehand usually the wiki is a good place to look into. Use one of the crafting components as your searh criteria.
Also note that you can open the wiki search from ingame by typing “/wiki <Search term>” in the chat line. The search term can also be an item link, created with SHIFT+left click on the desired item
Cheers

Hornswoggle,
Thanks, that helps a lot. I went back into the game and found weapon level in the recipe tool-tip, as you said. (I been blind)
I also went back into the GW2 Wiki and looked up the inscription, and there it was in the table (I been blind twice).
Thanks for your help!

No problem
Questions are there to be answered.
I’ve also had these moments (looking back at 213 green wood dowels…)
Glad I could help
There’s also a pattern to it.
It’s all in steps of 5 levels – so there’s crafted gear for lvl 10, 15, … 70, 75, 80.
There’s also kind of “sub tiers” within a crafting tier. For example, t2 is crafting rank 75-149. New recepies unlock every 25 ranks, so at 75, 100 and 125.
When you first unlock a tier, you get a few stat option of Fine (blue) quality, for weapons usually 3.
Rank up the crafting 25 ranks and a new, larger set of Fine options open up, these are 5 levels higher than the first.
Another 25 ranks later, you can get all the stat options of the tier in Masterwork (green) quality. These are a further 5 levels higher. For most tiers, there are also purchasable Rare (yellow) quality recepies at this rank.
The exceptions are:
Tier 1, having a set of Basic quality options
Tier 5, which spans 100 ranks instead of 75. Here the Rare option is 25 ranks later than the Masterwork.
Tier 6, no progression of rarity and stat options, it’s all exotic all the way; 450 unlocks Ascended materials and 500 (max and technically tier 7) for Ascended gear.
