I am in Wafer Foothills (I think its called) doing a string of events over and over. 5 of them spawn right after the next and give me 350 exp each. Is there a better place? I’m getting tired of these same events but am afraid it would take longer to level in a place with fewer events.

Have you completed the region you are in (the 1-15 region)?

If not, go finish up any Hearts, Waypoints, etc. that you haven’t. You’ll also get a cool reward for 100% completion.

Cheers.

Yeah! Lankybrit hit the nail on the head so to say.

I would also note that there are chests to be found that give OK rewards depending on level / area that can be visited over after a time limit – a small incentive to continue in the area suitable for your character.

Another way to speed up levelling that I have found useful is to attack mobs higher in level than my character – just make sure you do not take on more than the character can handle!

As well as hearts, I do as many ‘shield’ / escort and such events as I come across. Those events break up the ‘grind’ and, in my experience, are useful for gaining ‘drops’ and … experience.

Go for map completion. Then go for map completion of all other 1-15 maps. You will level so fast, it’ll give you whiplash.

(I’m serious. Map completion will shower you in EXP, for discovering, for running into events on the way, for gathering on the way, for hearts, for the completion itself… and on top of that, you will feel like you are working toward an actual goal.)
