Guild Wars 2

Hi,

When you create a Guild, you name it, but you also give it a tag.

What is that tag ever used for, or when is it ever displayed?

It’s displayed next to your name, other people see it. It shows the guild you’re representing.

It’s the identification letters you see in square brackets.

You see this name at people.
Some of them are quite funny, hehe.

I find the tag’s very useful. You can absorb short 4-letter names quickly and I find myself noticing and recalling guild information more easily then in other MMO’s.

Oh drat. I just chose ‘ish’. I thought my guild name ‘Brits Ahoy’ would have been shown.

Can I change it?

EDIT: LOL. I now realize that I chose the perfect tag. All my names end in …brit. So with ish, it now becomes …..brit [ish]. Cool
