Hi,

why should one spend 250 ectos and some more expensive stuff for a sword like Whisperblade. For what I see it is nothing more than any other exotic sword you can craft, except the skin.

I see that ascended weapons bring better stats but is the look the only thing that named exotics bring to the table?

I think you just answered your own question – they’re there for the looks.

Whether that’s enough to justify 250 ectos and other expensive stuff (or several hundred gold on TP) is up to each one… my guardian would say yer (if I had that stuff or money) for the foefire weapons, BTW..

IMO it’s a good system. You can get exotic weapons relatively cheaply and easily and then you don’t need to worry about being too weak for whatever content you want to do, you can play anything in the game.

Then you can take your time creating a really cool look and working towards getting the skins/items you want.
