What's the point of these skills?

What don’t you understand? I’m asking if anyone figured out if either these skills are good for anything or not.
Rampage,
I am honest, I got 9 characters, one is a trash/experiment slot, 8 are the different classes, all are level 80 but my warrior wich is in the process to level (kept him till last for personal reasons). I just unlocked rampage and I got it equipped right now. I do think that I am more effective, even compared to the alternative skills, but it is just slightly and the skills are a bit annoying and don’t fit my build and traits. I don’t think it is useless, but it is less used indeed.
Avatar melandru is indeed useless for a warrior. I never tried it seriously myself, but I am thinking bout trying it in a few situations. It has some potential for more prot-orientated characters.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
Rampage is situational – in the thaumanova fractal a warrior can solo the lava room with it. I suppose it could be useful as a last resort gtfo card – the tripled base hp would allow you to survive any situation. Melandru is a racial skill btw – seems more backline support than anything. You can root enemies, give protection and healing to allies – WvW functionality is great. The drawback is its lack of offensive capability, so it has little to no means of self-defense.

Dragonbrand [Ankh]
Okay guys, thank you. At least now I know where/how should I try those out. =)
I see people use the Rampage elite sometimes in PvP, lots of stuns and kd’s, so it’s kinda annoying to deal with. Avatar of Melandru I see less of, mainly because racials are generally weaker/less useful of skills, so I can’t comment there x.x
Hmm for Avatar, you could pop a quickness utility then transform and either use the water field or aoe root. The cast and aftercast is very long, so you should just cast one and exit form.
Plus it is an instant transform that gives 2000 toughness, maybe you can negate some damage while being CC’ed.
But still, its not that good.
