Guild Wars 2

Took a break. Leveled to 80. Acquried two full sets of exotic gear (pve, and wvw)

Currently my daily list is:
-Complete the dailies (spvp first, wvw second, usually don’t do PvE unless its fractal)
-1 Fractal 1-9 run (because I’m noob, and getting groups is hard with my work schedule)
-Tequatl once a day
-Living story 1 hour a day (currently on episode 5 trying to complete)
-Cursed shore Ancient bone farming 1 hour (need 250 for my ascended back, only have 3 bones after days of farming ><)

My current goal is to obtain a full set of ascended gear. I’ve got a chest piece, and an amulet already. Nothing else.

I started leveling atrifacting and tailoring but I’ve only got about 30g to my name right now and it’s rather expensive.

My question is, are there any other big ticket events / dungeons / etc I should be doing? I’m not sure what else there is…

Here are a few ways to make gold in the game in order of my preference;

Dungeons, a good party and optimized dungeon train will get you 7-10g/hour.
Silverwastes chest farm, although I’m not a fan I’ve heard from multiple friends and guild members the return is 10+g/hour and is a great source of T5 and T6 mats (better than the 3 you got in Orr lol)

For ascended I suggest you make your priority to get ascended jewelry first so you can do up to level 20 with the versatile infusions alone. Second you should go for ascended weapons you get the most bang for your buck with it, I’d save going for armor to the end.

I’ll have to checkout silverwastes. I’m not that far yet.

I don’t really care to do fractals I’m not a big pve guy. More focused on getting ascended for wvw. Not really looking for AR gear to do 10+

I got my amulet already. I’m going to have to suck it up and do fractals for relics on the rings. Guild missions for accessories but my current work schedule prevents me from participating :/

Changes to daily login rewards have helped me a ton with laurels.

I was aiming for weapons first its just super expensive. Looks like I’m going to have to do ALOT more pve then I wanted.

I was more wondering if there are any events I should try to get in on like tequatl. Doesn’t take very long and rewards are great. I can usually only stomach 1 fractal run a day.

Teq is good because it has fixed spawn times and you can build your daily stuff around it, wurm is similar but often you fail and it takes a good hour to get into a TTS map and kill it.

The other events I’d do is Karka queen and shatterer.

Also if pve is just a chore to you and what you want is wvw, I’d highly suggest giving up on ascended all together because the time you spend making that would be better spent dueling in pvp or roaming in wvw. Any form of pvp in the game revolves very heavily around skill and intimately knowing all the classes so you can counter them. The 5% advantage you get from ascended will become trivial when you pvp

I know ascended is hardly worth the time investment for PvP / wvw. But I need a bone to chase, something to work for. If I ignore ascended the game is pretty much at a stand still progress wise for me lol

You can get 3 just for finishing a scale 1 set.

Daily for 1 fractal – 1 Pristine Relic
Daily for completing a set of 4 fractals – 1 Pristine Relic
Chest at end of 4th fractal – 1 Pristine Relic
