Guild Wars 2

Hi all,

going to ding 80 today. I’ve pretty much levelled through crafting and questing. I’ve done a little wvwvw about 150 kills, not much.

Anyway, i want to gear up asap – whats the best way to do it? i’ve no idea on pvp or how long the rewards take. Should i focus on levelling my crafting?

Any advice from level 80s is welcome. What was your priority?

This is hard to answer because everyone is different, in the way they wanna prioritize there game play. In my opinion you should try every aspect of the game a bit more before you focus on one thing over everything else. Guild wars 2 in more of a pvp base game but it does have its pve values. All I can tell you is try everything out some more and see what you like best.

I think your mistake is to think that Guild Wars 2 is about ‘gearing up’ in the same way as progression based MMOs. If you don’t, then my apologies. In terms of gear, you can farm karma some for the of the level 80 items. Not sure what else, I’m yet to reach level 80 myself.

Bring your server glory and retake all the keeps! WvWvW is great fun imo:)

It would be fun without the 2 hour queue

Could always just craft your gear. In order to get the mats you could actually explore a massive part of the map and who knows you might find hidden things that you might enjoy.

Crafting gear seems to be on par with any vendor gear and alot easier to obtain. I would suggest that route. After that, spending karma on vendor gear is for the looks.
