I have alot of karma in my wallet, and i wondered what i should do with it?

My only requirement is:
- I want to turn it into gold (Karma > Gold).

Gamble on mystic clovers and hope you don’t get mystic clovers.

You can get a lot of T6 mats that sell for quite a bit.

So far I’ve spent my karma on mangos and other cooking ingredients lol

I did buy some rings, but I tend to get better gear drops than what I can buy with karma.

I wonder…
first, orrian boxes give about 1g every 30,000 karma
mystic clovers recipe….
1 obsidian shard + coin + ecto + 0.6 SP
coin + ecto = 38s
so that leaves 2100 karma + 0.6 SP
drop rate data says 31% chance of 1 clover, 5% chance of each T6 fine mat, 5% chance of T6 basic refined, 3% chance of a lodestone, small chance of other little things
so: (these include tp tax, because so does the orrian box estimate above)
5% of blood = 1.65s x 2 = 3.3
5% of bone = 1.43s x 2 = 2.86
5% of claw = 1.69s x 2 = 3.38
5% of dust = 0.91s x 2 = 1.82
5% of fang = 1.59 × 2 = 3.18
5% of scale = 1.7 × 2 = 3.4
5% of totem = 1.12 × 2 = 2.24
5% of venom sac = 1.32 × 2 = 2.64
5% of bolt = 0.29 × 3 = 0.58
5% of ingot = 0.52 × 3 = 1.04
5% of leather square = 0.01 × 3 = 0.03
5% of plank = 0.48 × 3 = 1.44
3% of lodestone = 3.41 × 1 = 3.41
sum = 29.32
so… this doesn’t even recoup the cost of the ecto. meaning that Zommoros charges you 8s68c to destroy 2100 karma and 0.6 SP for you.

I find mystic clover recipe more profitable than the orrian boxes.

But I’d honestly just hold onto that karma. It is so hard to get these days that accumulating any amount up again will take some time.

It is deliberately made impossible to convert karma to coin in a reliable way.

Orrian Jewelry Boxes are the only way to gamble karma in order to get an uncertain amount of gold.

The most versatile use of karma is to buy Obsidian Shards with it. These can be used for ascended crafting, or for (gambling for) Mystic Clovers.

Assuming you’re already at level 80 and have exotic armor, which means the heart vendors and Orrian temples are no use to you the best thing to do is save it up until you want something that can be bought with karma. At that point there’s a good chance you’ll need a lot of it.

At the moment I’m saving mine to buy obsidian because I’m making mystic clovers for a legendary and refining ascended crafting materials (at the moment just to get them out of my bank).

After that it will probably go towards exotics for my alts.

I used to wonder what I should spend karma on, until I went to WvW. You can never have too much karma in upgrading your keeps

You can max the Thirst Slayer achievement with 700,000 karma. Specifically, the option requiring the least amount of clicks is 25,000 Stein of Golden Ale. All of them have to be bought one-by-one. Otherwise, you could spend 80 gold on 6,250 of various 16-point alcohols. Again, all of which must be bought and consumed one-by-one.
