They are mini versions of the leyline anomalies appearing as event in Tyria.
As to why they are appearing and as to whether they are a character driven hallucination brought on by the bloodstone effects is as of yet unexplained.
I’m sure it will all connect together by the end of LS3

If you notice, some of them even react to their own appearance in the world and yelp. I’ve noticed this several times today.

It’s interesting that it moves around. None of the ones I’ve seen moved.

I wonder what it is that drives this change. Just as we have wondered what actually causes us to see the anomaly in the first place (several people have stated that they don’t even have the HoT expansion), there must be something that people have done in-game to cause them to start seeing this new version of the anomaly. I haven’t started seeing this one yet, still on the original version.
