I feel like this has probably been asked a lot, but I couldn’t find any guides or post that occurred after the release of HoTs, so I feel like the direction might have someone changed.

Anyways just looking for advice, thank you kindly!

Other than the fact that you can now do the HoT storyline, explore the new maps and train Masteries and elite specialisations I don’t think much will have changed from those guides.

A good first step is to get a full set of level 80 exotic equipment. Since all equipment with the same rarity and level requirement is equally good this can come from anywhere – you could craft it or buy it from the Trading Post or with karma at the Temples in Orr, or get it from WvW vendors or dungeons…or mix and match if you can’t afford a full set one way.

As for what you do it’s really up to you. The way I look at it is that after you reach level 80 the game basically becomes free-roaming. All the low level areas and content are still viable, but you can do all the level 80 stuff too, and you can do it in pretty much any order you like (with a few exceptions, for example the personal story and HoT story have to be played through in order, but you can do HoT before the personal story. Oddly enough the living story can be played in any order.)

Make sure to get your crafting professions to 500 so you can craft ascended gear.
Do your personal story
Join the new HoT maps and add heropoints to unlock your elite spec. Needs to be done on each character you make.
Do the HoT-story
Fractals and dungeons. Fractals should be first choice though since the more of them you do the harder they get and the better loot you get.
Do S-pvp. Join Heart of the Mist and start doing pvp matches.
Join World verses world and the 4 maps. Join Eternal Battleground first time since most people are there. Depending on server you joined you will be in battles for 24/7 during a whole week, reset on friday. You join and leave when ever you want.
Achivementhunting, jumping puzzle, worldboss events, world map events in the new maps and much much more depending on what mood you are in.

Thank you guys for the tips. I’m working on unlocking druid as we speak! I didn’t know you could buy gear for karma in Orr. I’ll have to head there and check it out.
