I’m 80, have exotic gear, don’t want a Legendary. What can I do with my 220k (and growing) karma? Am I reduced to Orrian Boxes or is there another way to use em to make money or get something useful?

To get money, only the Orrian boxes so far.

Other than that, maybe buy cultural weapons for their skins if you want to.

There is temple armor in Orr, or cultural weapons.

I haven’t tried this myself, but you might be able to stuff a bunch of Karma items into the Mystic Forge and sell the outcome (such as T3 Cultural weapons or Temple armor). I can’t confirm if it works since I need a lot of Karma for the 2 Legendaries I’m trying to pursue.

Other than that, Orrian [Addiction] Boxes can earn you a huge sum of coin.
Occasional Lodestones popping up can average a free gold (more for Charged, less for Glacial, etc), you get junk that’s worth a surprisingly large amount considering its frequency, and you get some of the Karma back (meaning buy more boxes). Even when I had just over 1.5 million karma, I ended up buying about 575 boxes when I should have went for purely Obby Shards. Ended up making about 24g from that though, and got some Lodestones I needed. As well as almost broke my clicking finger thanks to not having a “buy/open/consume in bulk” button.

I would like to get a Legendary one day, but none of the current Legendaries really suit my aesthetic sensibilities. Therefore, I plan on first equipping all of my characters with level 80 Temple armor, including level 80 Exo backpieces (With 5 characters, this will set me back almost 1.5 million Karma), then funnelling any excess into Orrian boxes. With the occasional Obsidian Shards I get from them, I’ll start gambling for Mystic Clovers to stockpile for the day when ANet releases new Legendaries. (This process also has the benefit of increasing my stockpiles of T6 mats if I don’t get Clovers.)

What to do with karma?

Do you have a set of p/v/t armour?
If not, then you should, it comes in handy when doing dungeons.
The temple karma merchants also have exotic backpieces, rings and accessories. Again, useful to have a second set with different stats.

Do you have cooking maxed?
Lots of recipe items can be bought in bulk with karma.

There are many arnour and weapons available from heart (karma) merchants once you do their quests. These can be bought for skins.

Anet will probably add more items as time goes on.

I have been looking all over for an answer to my question and would like one, maby here? :P
It feels like an exploit but you actually loosing karma doing this but at the same time I think it’s an rather quick and easy way to convert Karma to gold and… you shouldn’t be able to do that.

Is this an exploit or not!? I wouldn’t mind a Dev to answer this question too.
