I’ve been trying to get into TC, I have a friend there that I want to do WvW with and I’ve tried at many hours in the past few days. Is there an ideal time to try to get in? Do I have to exit the client and log back in or keep hitting the population button to refresh it?

Focus on their off peak times, so for example stay away from NA timezone because you will NEVER get in at that time.

It’s awhile ago since I was involved in a transfer process to a full server, but try the refresh option (which should work) but I wouldn’t be surprised if exiting the client works better.

I doubt the time of day has ANY relation to being able to transfer as the current logged in number of players has NO (NADA) bearing on there being room for you to transfer in.

• A current TC player MUST transfer to another Server to open a slot.
• THEN you must attempt to transfer to TC WHILE this slot is open
• Note that during this time when a slot is open, potentially hundreds of other players are trying to transfer into TC (so your are competing with these players for the ONE slot that just opened up…..good luck)

Again, the number of players currently logged into the game that have accounts tied to TC home-world has NO bearing on whether TC is FULL or not.

Time of day is only a factor in the rate at which the open spots fill up.

Off peak times will have a slower rate than during peak times.

Exactly…. so does time of day matter much? Bottom line you have to sit there and refresh and get VERY lucky. I agree there will be more completion during peak hours, but realistically, the odds of players LEAVING a desirable server like TC is quite slim at any time of the day…(tho there should be more leaving during peak hours if and when they leave at all).

Time of day only affects the number of people looking to transfer.

Peak time could be 100 people looking to transfer onto TC. 1% chance at getting in if one spot opens up.

Off peak time could be 50 people looking to transfer onto TC. 2% chance at getting in if one spot opens up.

Just increases the chances of being the lucky one to get the open spot.
