Hey everyone
When is a good time to start looking for a guild? right now I have a level 8 and a level 14, and I’ve gotten a couple of guild invites but I really don’t know enough about guilds to accept them just yet. What should I look for in a guild and when should I start looking for one?

There is no ‘good’ or ‘bad’ time to start looking for a guild. It all comes down to your own preference. If you don’t feel ready to join a guild, then wait until you do feel comfortable with it.

If the point is that you don’t know enough about guilds, the information is easy to come by on the wiki. But basically, it’s just a group of people you can chat with, team up with and have fun with.

What you should look for in a guild depends on what you want in a guild. I personally favor smaller guilds that have a family-feel to it. Others prefer a big and competitive guild.
There’s a couple of basic questions you can consider, and maybe ask the person who wants to invite you.
-Do you want a small, or big guild?
-What do you enjoy doing/want to do ingame? Do you like spvp, open world pve, dungeons, WvWvW? Some guilds mostly run dungeons, while others mostly run WvW

After that it comes down to if you like the guild once you joined of course
I wish you best of luck with finding a nice guild that suits you ^^

Couple things to add to Curae’s excellent post.

A decent way to get a feel for a guild is to try and play and communicate with them. Add a few you have worked with before to your friend’s list and see if their style, personality, humour, etc. fit with what your looking for.

Also, it is important that you examine the requirements of the guild. Some guilds require representation, or require that you do certain activities or donate certain things to remain in the guild. Make sure that the internal regulations of the guild work for you (this can sometimes be found on guild websites if they have one).
