Where Can I Find A More Active World?
No, you need a guild that uses comms.
A guild/corp that goes out and knocks out the small dungeons (hopefully they’ll add more pve to be done) or WvW together.
im in a guild but they are boring as well! i just came from wow and the guild i was in was very lively we raided alot or groups would always be running heroics made playing alot better
i just follow random people and make new friends lol.

I highly recommend this.

This is how I do it. Tried 3 guilds. Gave them each a two hour chance, not a single person spoke. Guilds are awfully lack luster for the game to be titled Guild Wars >.<
than talk to the guy recruiting you in comms before you accept an invitation, get to know the guild.
I play Eve Online, a game where we do interviews and background checks on new players.
PL is everywhere…….

Interviews, bg checks? I’m playing a game, not going to work. That’s just way too serious of a mentality for a game. And what on earth is a comms? Some program that pulls bg information automatically? I definitely don’t want people being able to know my phone numbers and physical address. Some people take this gaming stuff way too seriously o.O
@bobobejumbo yeah i just want a lively world is all…..but no MMO is really like that and i dont get it
BTW Bobobejumbo,
Comms is a reference to using a headset with microphone to communicate with other players voice to voice in real time using one of the popular programs, ie: Mumble, Teamspeak, Ventrilo, etc.
Seems most guilds these days prefer to use voice chat instead of in-game chat, which I personally don’t really like, mainly because I’m much more difficult to understand in voice because of my accent, and also because I usually play late at night (after the baby is sleeping) with my wife either watching TV or sleeping in the same room, so voice chat isn’t really an option.
That said, the guild I’m in right now does have some active in-game chat members, not to mention several activities like dungeon nights, crafting swaps on weekends, a organized WvW groups and things like that, so there are good guilds out there, just keep looking… one big advantage of this game is that you can check other guilds without leaving your first one..
wrapped up in some crazy ritualist hoo-ha from Cantha.
A real grab bag of ‘you can’t hurt me. They’re called Guardians.
i have been in numerous guilds before. i always wanted to join one now, but it seems like once i join it i get really bored. i want to be able to play with many people, and i follow mobs around for a few hours/night. this satisfies my need for interaction. i also did not like the fact that one guild i accepted had almost 100 people in the roster, but nobody was on except me. the person threw me an invite, then logged out before i could introduce myself. that was a sad afternoon, so i left.
i was invited a few times already (once at level 35 and again at level 60), but declined them both. maybe it was because of the strange guild names and/or tags.
