Guild Wars 2

Hey guys, just a quick question.
Ok so I’m new to GW 2 played a lot of GW tho, but I just can’t seem to find my characters stats…playing a Warrior and I’d really like to know how much power I have and armor and so on….

Press ‘H’ to open the Hero’s window. While under the ‘Equipment’ tab, click the ‘Equipment’ sub-tab. There all of your stats will be found

Don’t be alarmed when you find you have a new Display Name. The one you have chosen is not allowed, and will be changed. Just a heads-up.

It’s also a good idea to make sure you’re in a town or level-appropriate area when you check your stats.

There’s a system in this game called down-levelling which means if you’re in an area below your level your characters stats will be scaled down to match it, but you’ll still get drops and XP relevant to your level. It’s good for game-play because it means you can play in any area at or below your level at any time without it being boring and pointless (either because you missed it while levelling up or because you want to re-visit it). But it does mean you won’t always see your real stats.

You can see if you’re being down-levelled by looking at the bottom left corner of the screen. At the side of the XP bar is your actual level (white number). If there’s a lower green number next to it then you’ve been down-levelled to that point. Going to any town is the easiest way to make sure you’re seeing your real stats.

Used to be able to find them at a simple button press, obviously that wasn’t complicated and annoying enough and needed changing, Yay!

Next update will be the need to press up, left, down, right, A, Y. B, A, B to open our inventory.

They really need to make the wardrobe and dye sections different tabs on the menu.

One of the side effects of the Wardrobe update that I hate is how the H window no longer defaults to the Equipment tab (tho if it did, I would likely complain about that too).
