I’ve been to Bloodtide Coast, Frostgorge, and Cursed Shore, and they are like ghost towns.

Is it possible I got switched to a really empty server?

My world is TC, but my guild is on Sorrow’s Furnace. It’s never been this quiet before though.

How do I find/move to a more populated server?

All three of those maps are fairly popular ones, so it’s possible you just might have been put into newer overflows whenever you visited each one. I’m on TC too, and those maps are always fairly well populated when I’m there.

I suspect you got on a map with only a few people also. The ones I’ve seen normally have had lots of people. There really aren’t servers anymore, except for WvW reasons. Now the game has Megaservers.

You can try guesting to get on a different shard of the megaserver. Type /ip in chat to get the server IP number then go to character select and guest. Type /ip again to make sure you are on a different shard. Because of Megaservers it’s quite possible to guest and get the same shard again.

Nowadays if the shard is emptying out it will ask you if you want to move to a more populated shard, and give you the ability to do so.

I’ve never experienced any of those maps being empty…..even before MegaServer. No clue.

Have you actually been to these zones you say are empty?

Join a guild that is active on these servers and rep when you map in. The megastar we algorithms should help put you in a map with your farming guild mates.

I have been in a zone and received a message on the bottom/right part of the screen warning me that unless I accept to switch to a more populated virtual server (check the box), the zone I was in will close in 50 minutes. I clicked on the button and reappeared at the same place but on a different virtual server with many players.
