Where is the LFG system?
I don’t like LFG and will tell you why.It may be good at the star for low populated servers and for faster finding groups but in reallity it’s the worst thing ever made. Here is why.Because it groups people from different realms and with it come anonimity which brings the worst in people and removes the need of realm comunity.
In wow before introduction of LFG yes it was hard to do dungeons, because it was not so easy to find a group BUT we had a feeling for comunity back than.Because if people behave badly we would kick them and not group with them ever again.
LFG removes that. Why?Because for instance we have player A from one realm and player B from another. They join LFG and enter the instance. After the dungeon is completed they may never see each other again.
Now that is the worst thing in LFG system. To provide anonymity which can promote people to do what they like, when they like it,how they like it.That is what i hated in WoW and don’t like to see here in GW2.
People start pulling trash then instantly leaving and the group dies.A group of 4 people from same server kicking the random that joins them.
IF lfg ever will be implemented i want to have somekind of punishment for such things or some kind of fix.
A good solution of such system is to be based only per realm. To let you join with people only from your realm and no one else.

GW had a party window that allowed people to look for teams for missions, hunting, trade and the like. In that window, you would add a piece of text to indicate what it was you were seeking and it allowed players looking for similar things to either whisper you for more details or join your group.
This feature was added after the game had been out a few years and therefore was quite under-utilised because everyone was used to just spamming their requirements in chat.
The GW2 option under contacts seems to be hidden and largely useless at the moment mostly because there is no indication of why you are looking for a group.
An automatic party matchmaking tool which just dragged five people from a queue and stuffed them in a dungeon would be a very bad thing for this game but the functionality from GW would be excellent. People wanting to do a dungeon would enter something like “AC Explore route 2 – 2/5” and so be more easily contactable by those looking for the same thing.
As i said IF the tool is added it must not be like in WoW where the feel of comunity is lost.
Never lost that feel of community, not sure why people always use that argument.
It doesn’t mean that we have to have the same LFG system as wow or any other MMO using it. I think that Dungeons and dragons online have a very good LFG system.
The problem with this one is that it is hidden under contacts it’s really easy to miss and you can’t add any comments to your LFG so I don’t know what that person is LFG for.
As I said I hate being stuck on Plains of Ashford doing nothing and yelling LFG. If we had a system similar to Dungeons and Dragon Online I can put myself on LFG and add “Ascalonian Catacombs” as a comment and do something else and wait for a whisper from someone.
You don’t need one.
IF it was the same as the one that we had in GW1 that would be fine.
IF you are talking about WoW’s dungeon finder, then my answer is I hope they never do add that.
