Just hit 80 and have been using google but i Can’t find any info on where I can spend my Karma to get a Longbow or Shortbow.

Cultural weapons are available for karma and are not actually restricted by race. So if you’re a Norn you can weild a Sylvari sword, etc. Vendors for these are found in each Races capitol city.

Edit: Sorry, just checked, these are only rare quality – not sure if exotic karma ones are available.

Are any of those exotics though?

Well, in Rata Sum, there’s a vendor at the top level who sells yellow gear for tons of Karma. I presume those are exotics.

EDIT: I just checked the wiki. I guess Yellows are rares. Sorry.

EDIT2: It’s pretty sad that guildhead and gw2db are not up to par with wowhead with this sort of thing. With wowhead, you could just search for an item and then it would show you how it was available. No such luck with these gw2 sites unfortunately.

To my knowledge, there are no NPC vendors who sell Exotic weapons for karma. This subject comes up every so often. The best suggestion is to make a Mystic weapon from the Mystic Forge (which is explained under the Mystic Forge entry on the GW2 Wiki) or to just buy one. The Mystic Forge coins sell for around 3-3.5 silver each, so it’s often just easier to sell things on the BLTC auction system and then buy yourself an Exotic weapon with the +Stats that you prefer.

Yup, sadly there are no exotic weapons.

I did a lot of karma grinding when I first hit 80 and I kind of regret it now since there is no Karma gear with berserker stats and there are no karma exotic weapons at all.

And there’s nothing else really useful from karma except salvage kits and tools, so I have a ton of karma sitting around gathering dust.

So, as human, I can actually go and get a norn cultural weapon? I thought one has to stick with ones own cultural items.. How about the armor though? I don’t think I can get cultural armor from the norn and wear it as human..?

Yes you are correct with weapons.

There used to be a work around for armour but due to a previous update wearing different cultural armour is not possible.

Yes: You can use different cultural weapons

No: You cannot wear different cultural armour

God armor is on par with crafted exotic though. 42K karma / piece….my ranger wears 2 pieces.

I didn’t realize you could purchase weapons from the other races’ cultural weapon vendors. Thanks for that info!

Lankybrit: The GW2 reference sites are fledglings compared to the likes of Wowhead, which has had YEARS for its contributors to build the data contained therein to its current level.

Players will need to be diligent about sharing info to the GW2 sites if they ever hope to have comparable references.

One of the biggest reasons wowhead is so comprehensive is the addon that can log item pickup info from players and then sends it straight to the site.
