I hit level 25 in JC a little bit ago and now I can’t gain anymore exp for that until I start crafting higher stuff. I have a ton of iron ore that id like to turn into ingots. but can’t How do I go about doing this?

You need to try discoveries, should be the top tab of your crafting window. Basically you throw in random mats and hope it makes something. However there are more specific guides online that show you exactly which mats make what.

The jeweling vendors themselves have a lot of recipes for karma but I didn’t find any of them good for leveling the discipline. They made powerful gear for their level but cost a lot to make so they’re better avoided imo. Stick to discovery, it’s the heart of GW2 crafting.

Here ya go buddy.. i will take the 2 minutes to explain it for you!
Each Tier of crafting has X amount of discoverable recipes. Discovery grants more EXP than crafting each item once the discovery is made.
So Exp Goes As Follows: Discovery > Crafting Known Recipe > Refining Materials
Here are the starting discoveries you need to work on.

Create Copper Ingots. (forgot how many Copper Ore/Ingots it takes)
x6 Copper Hoops.
x6 Copper Bands.
x12 Copper Settings.
x2 For Each Base Gem. (ie: garnet, topaz, pearl)
