Guild Wars 2

Hi all!

I’m looking for the location of a certain ‘mini quest’ in Ascalon. Bear with me, certain details might be a bit out.

From memory, you speak to a female? ghost who appears in a dungeon after you light some candles. She tells you a story about some long dead soldier whose body is buried in a sarcophagus nearby (within the same somewhat underground tomb)

There is a chest reward at the end. It’s not a jumping puzzle.

I’ve spent time scouring Ascalon, but can’t manage to find it—it was a quest I found and completed in the early days of Guild Wars 2.

I think the area you are talking about is the Martyr’s Tomb in “Ruins of Holy Demetra” of the Harati Hinderlands.
This has a quest similar to what you describe (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Tenad_the_Faithful).

In a dungeon and involving candles?
May it be the bonus event in the Ascalonian Catacomb?
I did it one time only after release so I do not remember it in detail. By the way, while running down the stairs from the Priory camp to the first burrow, if you take the path at the left of the stairs (at the same level of the burrow), there are some torches you may light; when done a bonus even will activate.
I think this bonus event has been left after the revamp but I am not quite sure about it.

That is probably it. Although you don’t light candles, you /kneel in front of the statue which happens to have candles around as well and the chest is there without having to do the event.
