Which class is for me?
As for the necro’s, they’re not as weak as people say, people just like to complain. And btw if you read the forums for getting information about classes than you will probably dislike any class because most people on here are a bunch off complainers. As for the best class for you, I think you might like the Guardian. It can be like a warrior but it’s also a sort of mage class. only thing that you probably won’t like is that it’s range isn’t as great as other classes. i would just reccomend try a couple of classes to lvl 20 and than see what you like most
Kalevala [KALE]
I’ve run a few dungeons with necros that were really good. It all depends on learning your class. I have a ranger and a thief and liked them both. I am really liking my thief. Being able to stealth myself to bypass some fighting is nice. I also run the unpopular p/p and am loving it
hmmm, Though Wartna is right bout the complains, I would put it differently.
Many people use the forum to convince mainly the developpers bout what they don’t like bout a class. That doesn’t mean they don’t like the class. They actually care so much bout it they want it to be improved. This can be confusing to people when picking a class.
My main is an engineer and I think you should give it a try. I don’t rely on turrets. I use typicly two turrets in my build. But I don’t put them up all the time.
There ar emany playstyles with the engineer. Mine is as follow:
against single enemy’s I use a riffle. The rifle skills are doing very nice damage, but they are alsovery good to keep a foe away from (together with regular kiting and dodging) so you take only 10% of the damage you would take when standing still and using damage weapons. For fighting multiple enemy’s I prefer the flamethrower kit for AoE damage and nuking. The grenadekit is better for this. but harder to play.
The turrets have two functions. The first is to add to the damage and the second is to have additional crowd control. I keep them for the harder fights cause of the reload time of the skills (up to 60 seconds after you destroy it).
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
I think you answered your own question. Out of the professions listed the Ranger is the only one you said you liked… So stick with the ranger.
Well I think he just has false impressions in most of the classes. His belief on thieves and engineers is just plain wrong.
If you like warrior, then play it. Who cares about what anyone else plays. It’s your enjoyment that should matter
