Which class of two to 80?
Your Ranger is just a few hours from lvl 80. The last few levels come very quickly if you do the Personal Story. There is probably enough karma to buy a set of temple armor saved by that time. You can manage with that just fine and gather resources (=gold) while levelling your thief.
It’s too bad folks don’t tend to do the Straits of Devastation events much anymore. That’d be a quick zip to 80 on that ranger in, like, an hour tops.
Pop in to WvW and follow your server’s zerg through events, or take camps in a less-active borderland if your personal story missions aren’t appealing.

I’m having trouble deciding which of these two classes to take to 80. I have a Ranger at 73 and a Thief at 54.
I like them both equally, but I know it would be really rough to try to flip-flop between them and it would be better to settle on one for a while until I get it geared up.
Which of the two would you think would be better to finish? Any and all pro, cons, opinions on both would be greatly appreciated.
It all depends on you really. What class do YOU prefer? Ranger doesn’t have as many builds as other classes and can get a bit boring.
A ranger was my first character I made. He is level 80 but I haven’t got round to getting exotics for him yet. I now main a level 80 elementalist, fully geared.
