I been 80 mesmer for a very long time now , I love farming events and it’s ashame mesmer lack aoe attack, just want to know. which class got the best aoe attack ? and have a very short cool down.

Engineer, grenade kit.

i think necromancer bone minions have highest AoE damage. it blows up everything in 0.5 second(cooldown).

Bone minions are summons, you get 2 per summon and explosion has 1sec cooldown. You sacrifice a minion to use it and they need 20 seconds after death to be resummoned.

The grenade kit offers a constant barrage of high-damage AoE in a decent area, as well as 4 versions of the base grenades that chill, blind, poison and bleed and all have pretty nice and short cooldowns. Not to mention you get a grenade barrage toolbelt skill with the kit, which does about as much damage as a bone minion on it’s own.

While the grenade kit is a bit awkward to use at first, it’s worth learning to handle it.

Engineer grenades. Non-stop explosive fun.

I would expect Elementalists to be the AoE kings, I mean come on almost all of their attacks are AoE. Meteor shower for example.

an ele with a staff has so many aoe attacks it’s quite easy to drop 3 or 4 on a patch of ground simultaniously. cool downs might be long but you have so many even if you spam them all you’ll always have 1 or 2 ready to go at the least.

Engineer grenades by a long shot

If you want to stand on keep walls and hit people with large radius and relatively fast cooldown attacks Elementalist. Be warned that while you are the zerg king able to sit on the backrow and rain down death.. You are going to be butchered by anyone you run into 1v1 if you have a staff in your hands.

Engineer grenades are also fun and it is some of the best debuffs in the game, but the aoe radius is much tighter.
