Guild Wars 2

Hello my friend and I just bought this game and the first decision to make is which realm do we choose. I used to play WoW and I liked PvP servers because of the chance of world pvp, but I don’t really know how this game works. I think him and I will mostly PvE, and we just want a nice server with a lot of people.

There are no PvP servers in Guild Wars 2. Most people make their choice depending on whether WvW is something that are interested in. If that should be the case, they would usually choice one of the higher tiered WvW-ranked servers.

Guild Wars 2 uses the MegaServer implementation, so that (for PvE and population) it matters not so much which server you choose as your home. Though, if you have a particular Guild you are interested in joining, it is best to choose the server that Guild calls Home.

Considering everything is Megaserver except WvW, my only suggestion is this: for your own good, if you will decide to ever go for map completion, pick the server that is the strongest in WvW if you want to have a hope to achieve that, in decent amount of time and less stress.
