There are NPCs attacking with whips on Southsun during some events. What profession do you think this weapon goes with.

I am curious as to why this was moved to players helping players.

The same as the nightmare court people with whips?? In case of the nightmare court, it is range-kinda skills. but npc’s and foes professions are not directly related to playable ones.

Kind of my point. Which would suite it or would a new profession be required?

The whip is just a held item. Like when u pick up a tree branch. This is seen in the Sylvari personal story line in where you have a whip-like weapon (its called a vine i think but who cares XD). So it’s not a weapon like a sword or mace or whatever, its just a held item.
