Guild Wars 2

Hey guys! I remember being super stoked for this game almost a year ago. I waited all summer for it, slept all day on release day, and played all night (as much as the servers allowed) every night for about two weeks.

However, life slowly crept up on me.. and a month after release, I had stopped playing.

I have “more time” now, and would like to get back into the game, the client patching is at 95% as we speak.

So, my question to you is, what the hell has happened in the last year? What are some major differences in the game? What’s up with this “Ascending” armor and “Living World”? Are the classes and races the same? Just tell me everything!

Actually a lot happened but most of it not good, Pretty much after southsun patch the game declined badly, best try it yourself to see..

Good thing about GW2 is: you bought the game already. You are always welcomed back. Take a break from it when chores in life is calling you, but you can always come back whenever want to.

You do realise southsun was not around at release and was added in a big update dont you?

It’s okay Dante doesn’t like the changes in the game and that’s fair enough. It’s his right to say so.

On the opposite side, I like most changes in the game (but not all of them). Still, a lot of good stuff has happened and I think there’ll be more good stuff in the future.

Here are a bunch of things that happened:

1) Ascended items are a new type of gear that you gotta grind for. A new dungeon instance had been created for it, and it is actually a series of randomized series of mini dungeons.

2) No more zerg parties around Orr, its literally a dead place now, Everyone now just do COF P1 for gold farming.

3) AC Dungeon has had its difficulties increased alot more now, and many players don’t find a need to visit it any more. (Too much trouble for too little reward)

4) You are now able to preview items in the Auction House.

5) Living story is well….don’t get your hopes too high for them. They’re just mini quests that most people just click thru and get it over with.

6) There was a very cool Retro 80s jumping puzzle kitten dungeon called “Super Adventure Box” which was cute and fun, but its removed now, as it was only available as a temporary content only.

7) Additional content has been added for Guilds to participate in. Most of them are quite fun actually.

8) A new living story will be available soon called “Secret of Southsun” which takes place in a new area called Southsun Cove. Again, its only a living story so don’t expect too much from it. It’ll probably be just a few forgettable mini quests and probably a dungeon.
