I am new to necromancer and I am wondering why things like this are happening (see picture below).

I am in plague form and I added blind to plague. Why my screen is full of red “miss” texts? That is me missing, isn’t it? Or have I understood this wrong? I actually tested with dagger and I get red “miss” text when I miss… I am confused. ._.

Well, the “Miss” you see on your screenshot are from the monsters around you.. And this will be caused by the blind (which causes the first attack after applying to miss completely).
Should it have been one of your “Miss”, then it would have been shown in white (like the numbers from the dmg you do).

Are you sure? Like I said I tried to test this with dagger and I think it showed my miss with red text (when I was at melee range but not directly facing opponent).

Your explanation sounds logical and would make sense with added blind on plague, but I don’t think I have seen white miss (or maybe I haven’t looked so closely).

Tribio is correct. White is damage dealt, red the damage received.

I can also confirm what Tribio and Rouven have said.

I’m pretty sure text above the enemies is stuff done to them from you, and text above you is stuff done to you from them. If it was you dodging them, it would of said “evaded”. you missing them would put a “miss” above them. Just like you dealing damage to them will put a “582” above them, or bleed on them from you puts a “77” above them.
my theory: most likely you were under the affect of blind or similar: “Next outgoing attack misses… Blindness is cured on the next outgoing attack, regardless of whether that attack would’ve hit anything if not for the blindness”. That screen border looks like it might be the remnants of a blind. blind will put a dark border around your screen, and when it goes away the border fades as well.

All that red text is coming from your enemies attempting to attack you while you spamming blind in Plague Form.

I’m under the impression that it follows this standard:
“White is good for you, red is bad”

So, when you evade an attack, the “Evaded!” is shown in white, while damage taken is in red.

If the enemy missed you, it’s shown as a white “Miss!”, when you try to attack a target but the projectile is “Obstructed!” by something, it’s shown in red.

The “Miss”, I think, is more like him trying to attack many targets at once but got blinded in turn, which causes all of his attacks to miss. I play an engi and when my Blunderbuss missed, it’s shown as a red “Miss!”

So every player in that screenshot is targeting + firing at the necro ? and missing? even the ones facing the other way ?
Kinda doubt that.

I am still not sure is it me missing (notice how I don’t no any damage either) or are the enemies missing.

I had timelapse on, so when I get back home I will check did I have blind on me or is the black border from plague.

looks around 2:10, there is a part of the video where the warrior shoots him with a rifle a red ’’miss’’ appears, very fast though.

skip to 4:43 you can see the players (thief) misses are all white text, shortly after this or somewhere soon after is a string of red misses from an enemy thiefs unload.

EDIT: evades are in white as there a reaction of the player thus a ’’good’’ text, hence white

Get an elementalist with staff and air attunement skill 2 unlocked, that skill Blinds your target. Blind a Skale and have it hit you, see the color of Miss that appears

You keep missing because other people are blinding you
