Why is Triple Trouble redundant?
It’s hard to coordinate. It requires 3 groups of 40-50 players who have to act mostly in unison.
Having said that, on European servers a few guilds organize a weekly Triple Trouble event with good turnouts and decent success.
So it could just be the server you play on.
I think, it’s nearly impossible to do Triple Trouble without ts. So if you want a successful worm kill, you need about 100-150 people in ts.
To get on a map with an organized worm kill attempt, you should join one of the following groups (I copied the links from another thread):
NA
1. http://ttsgamers.com/
2. http://attuned.enjin.com/
EU
1. http://psdh.eu/
2. http://www.reddit.com/r/txs
3. http://gw2community.com (3 English runs/day often even 2 maps per run!)
4. http://gw2community.com/calendar/event/7-wurm-run-of-the-german-wurmslayer-community-wums/ (German)
5. http://www.gw2community.de/ (Usually 1 German run/day)
6. http://www.gw2play.de (Few runs per month/German)
I think there are probably more groups/guilds who organize worm kills, e.g. from the French and Spanish communities.
Wurm is almost impossible to do without an organised group using voice comms. (Or if you get lucky and happen to be in a map being used by one of these groups.) Rhiannon’s post above has some excellent links to get you started.
OP, this event is organised multiple per day by many guilds and communities, so it is far from being redundant. In fact, the main reason why some veterans players still play this game is because of events like Tequatl and THW.
To get into an organised map, you need to be on Teamspeak with around 120 other players. To get on teamspeak, you need to join a guild or a community of guilds who organise for this event.
Oh, and no commander is going to tag up for this event with randoms who show-up 5 min before the event starts ..
