Guild Wars 2

Just my two pence worth but this forum is one of the worst i have seen for a new MMORPG. I mean honestly how long was this game in development? Surely you guys has years to try and work on ideas for this Forum?.

Sifting through it for latest posts is bad enough but then searching for answers is even worse.

Shocking start ANET! Even the dreaded Gameforge forum for Aion is designed better and thats f2p.

Anyway I hope this gets changed at some point as it pains me to come here and read through it all.

They have said this multiple times. They are going to release new categories and expand the forums they are just Doing a load test right now. I would much rather have them working on the game anyways

ArenaNet traditionally only hosted support forums, not full Community forums.
Perhaps try one of the popular community websites for something more to your taste, like guildwars2guru, or similar fan sites.

During the Beta they had all kinds of boards up. I imagine they will have them all up again. It was extensive, and well formatted.

Just be patient. I appreciate their attitude of doing it right the first time, even if that means it takes a little longer.

I was under the impression that the game was in development for a long long time. Was just hoping for a community forum at release date. I mean its not like it was just announced. The forum could of gone live months before release date. But its ok and yeah getting the game sorted is more important as you say. My expectations were high perhaps.

The biggest thing for me is the color pallet. Having pure unadulterated white as the background is horrible. Needs to be something darker and easier on the eyes than staring into the sun.

Well it’s nice to know that this forum will be expanded from what is currently is. I know when I first was actually able to see the forums, I thought this was one of the worst designs ever.

Hopefully we will see it changed soon.

Agree with OP, desperately need class, pvp, pve etc… sub forums

Personally i rather it stay as it is. They did not have traditional forum’s on the first and as such i dident have to read threw all the WoW whiners. The setup they have now is perfect. Have a question ask the players. If the players cant answer it take it to the support ticket. Saves you time and lets us as a community help each other. Normal forum’s tend to just become full of trash devoted to trashing the game and nothing helpful for the most part. I say no thanks to that.

The only thing that seriously cracks me up is how the admins have been closing topics telling them to stay on topic when there is no other forum options to post stuff in.

The design is so simple, but yet so good!
