Why do we play SPvP in GW2, what are rewards. I just started so I was wondering how much exactly does it pay off?

No, seriously, it’s for fun. sPvP is almost like a completely separate game with very little integration into the PvE part of the game. Inside of sPvP, you can get some cool looking armor and weapons to intimidate your opponents, but that’s about it.
I believe that tiered tournaments for SPvP will be coming.
