Why were so many Forums Archived?
For the WVW Match Up forums, they announced that they were going to be archiving it at least two weeks before they actually did. ANet thought they were getting too toxic/off-topic etc and didn’t want to deal with moderating it anymore? I know some people are now using gw2wvw.net as the new match up forums, but there are probably other sites as well.

Suggestions are supposed to go into whatever section is most relevant. If you aren’t sure or can’t find one put it in discussion, but the idea is that the devs will only need to look at the sections relevant to their work rather than digging through the fast-moving suggestions forum hoping to find something relevant.
The other sections (aside from Match-ups) I assume never got many posts anyway and can be merged into general discussion or Lore.
