Guild Wars 2

Hi all,
Friend of mine wants to buy a new laptop for school and to play games on, he’s adamant he want’s laptop over a desktop and would like to budget it under 800$.

I looked around and found this one on Newegg for 730$/Free Shipping has great reviews and someone said they can run BF3 on ultra with it at about 25 fps the only downside I was reading was the speakers and it having Window’s 8.

I’d like a second opinion on it before I recommend it to him also if anyone has experience with the Window’s issue is it viable to just downgrade to Window’s 7 or is 8 not a big issue.

To be honest yes, it looks like its well over enough to run Gw2.

I don’t know about Windows 8 though

My wife has an Asus touchscreen with Windows 8 and the game plays just fine. Windows 8 is “so far” game friendly with most of the games we play together.

2.2Ghz quad core, GT 640M at 1366×768. You should be able to find a setting that’ll give you fairly good framerate at that resolution. Still has a horrid 5400RPM drive but it’s $730, can’t have everything.
