Q:
Will dueling be added?
A:
They said they will add it eventually, but its not their main priority right now.
Right now the only way to do it if to join an empty game and do it.
This would be a nice feature indeed! I hope they implement it too (maybe when they add guildhalls, activities, … )
I would think the answer to this question is no…..
that’s not because I don’t want it, but lets look at it from ANet’s Point of view.
dueling would lead to a MASSIVE and i mean MAHOOSIVE amount of whine that this or that class is underpowered in comparison to another.
ANet already has huge balancing issues on their hands and a lot of players complaining about it, I think that dueling would only make the issue worse and cause them more of a headache in the long run.
I however would love to see it at some point
I would very much like this also.
/signed I guess.
I hope they add it too, just for the simple fact that I’m tired of getting into SPvP games with two schmucks who are “dueling” and start to whine when anybody else ends up in that match.
would be nice to see it added. And no one really does dueling (like go and challenge someone in the streets) for anything but fun so the op/up issues wouldn’t mind..

Its true they don’t but i’m not sure how much exposure you have had to mmo communities, particulary since wow.
In honestly a duel between two classes should come down to skill who wins in the ideal world. however in the mmo world thats simply not possible due to the difference in classes so you often get a rock/paper/scissors type system (why do all mmos make us pick a class
)
The problem with guild wars just now is that certain classes would dominate 1 v 1 vs all others and therefore people would come here and moan about them.
I would love to see this added cause theory crafting doesnt always work. I would like to test my builds with friends before we all pvp together.
