that dont .say nothing…there no pve end game on this game atm…only the events…but that dosent hlp u im reffering to pve like End game Raids that u do with hard work and with your guild and need tactics…..10man + Raids …and more dungeons thta u get GER and set items….not events..that u dont get nothing special

That says everything. I don’t doubt that there will be more PVE added in patches or whatever else but atm you have dungeons with different modes, dynamic events, and zone scaling.

I’m sorry to disappoint you, but if you’ve searched for this pretty much anywhere, you’d know there is nothing besides 5-man instances, dynamic events, and pvp. That’s the endgame. Welcome.

From what I have read, I don’t think there are any plans for a “RAID” system in this game (someone has an update, feel free to correct me). Personally I think that is a good decision on their part if you look at the thought process behind it (not going to type it all up, google it, there is plenty of discussion). With Dungeons in the game (not dynamic events.. ) I don’t see a 20 man RAID working very well in GW2

If you want a gear grind go back to WoW. The gear will stay mostly cosmetic and will have very few upgrades added to stats.
Grinding to look cool is what Anet is going for. Not Power progression where you are required to have a gearscore to get to the next level

You’re reading it wrong. He was just calling them “WoW” raids because everyone knows what the term means. If he’d said “Rift” raids or anything else, less people would understand.
He didn’t say at any point WoW invented raids.
He was just explaining you won’t find anything above 5-man pve instanced content.
If you want something that requires more than 5 people in PvE, dynamic events are the answer.

I know the feeling.
I played Asheron’s Call for a long time, and it did not have ‘raids’. It had open world stuff to do. Sometimes we’d delve into the heart of an … .. forgot those bug names, wow. lol It’s at the tip of my mind. Arathoi … no… lol.
Point being, open world stuff is fun. I would actually prefer they didn’t hand-hold with a circle on the map saying ‘something going on here!’
Raids? No, don’t think so. WvW is my endgame. And… start-game, as it turns out.
Ok, here a quick and clean answer.
1) There will be no wow like 10/25 man raids.
2) Events are not useless, they get you karma, and with karma you can buy rly epic shizzle, believe me I have seen the T3 Level 80 Items, they are downright epic & cost 64.000 Karma per piece.
3) This game is not focused on PvP….
4) The whole Game is endgame, stop with that wow mentality, events, meta-events, dungeons with story mode(=easy mode) & explore mode(=rock hard mode) and exploration to the max in an insanely huge world. I am very, very happy and think that PvE Content is 1000x better than WoW’s. WoW’s PvE is just a massive grind, they limit the amount of dungeons & raids you can do to keep you paying that sub. fee.

You didn’t say it. I put it there to catch you before you replied with that, since a lot of people seem to think more people = better and more challenging content.
Just a question: have you even done some explorable dungeons yet?
They do require tactics and teamwork in my experience.
If you’re looking for “raids” though, they aren’t in the game. I don’t think they’ll be added any time soon. Probably some more dungeons and things in time.
This game has “end-game” in the form of:
-Farming for legendaries
-Orr
-Explorable mode dungeons
there is no “10 man+” group raids. The closest you can get are meta events in specific zones.

Thank god, raids suck! I remember wiping on death wing on the last phase and it was a good 5-10 min fight (pug) and having to restart kitten sucked like…..BLEH pvp is better to focus on anyway to me it shows truly how good you are with you profession.
for the love of god please dont add 10/25 man raids to this game. i allways hated trying to form a pug for a wow raid, it took forever to find enuff people
Only found one true lvl 80 zone and its really small. Sadly, it is only zone you seem to be able to loots lvl 80 items other than ‘box’ event zone bosses which all scale. Biggest down side is that after prolonged ‘farming’, I seem to reach a point after around 30 mins where a) loot becomes non-existant b) lowered kharma gains. Under assumption this is an anti farming mechanic. Still, wish there was more than ONE lvl 80 zone. The 70/75s -> 80s drop sub 80 junk only in the most part so essentially all the 80s are crammed into one zone if they want lvl 80 loots?
Also like wonder where the heck is these uber kharma vendors. I been to all the chapels or whatever where they sell rare set armors but they are all the same except for the rune; basically, as an elementalist it’s all +heal/toughness junk with next to no power at all. Where can I buy lvl 80 light armor that has power/precision/crit dmg with a dps rune? I can’t find it.
Last thought, this game is all about PvP as the end game by looks of things. Not that is a bad thing but it will inevitably make the PvEers look else where for less chaotic zergfest end game PvE activities like we see here. With these anti farm mechanics, I can’t even farm effectively. Sigh.

PvE end game pretty much consists of farming either of the two level 80 maps and going to kill dragons every 3 hours. Or farming the hardmode instances for the currency to buy the gear in LA. Gearing out a level 80 shouldn’t be that long and painful of a process. But honestly I’d rather level alts than PvE on an 80 all day. I think the fun of this game is learning how every class works so you can play more effectively against them in WvW or SPvP.
