Window mode loss quality

I reinstalled my OS and since then the following has happened.

When I run gw2 in full screen i have great quality in game graphics, however as soon as I switch to window mode the quality drops.

I remember having this issue around launch a few years back but cant remember how I resolved it. I have a feeling I resolved it under catalyst…….

Hoping someone remembers it off the top of their head.

Windowed mode uses the resolution of your desktop. It sounds as if your Windows desktop setting is not matching your monitors native resolution…..(just a guess).

My resolution was appropriate the problem was due to something else happening in windows. It’s something specific to GW2 it seems because information was scarce on the internets about this issue.
