Guild Wars 2

Hi everyone! I’m new to GW2, and I played a lot of GW1 some years ago and it was by far my favorite game.

I’m a girl, and something I really liked about the first GW was the social experience with my guildmates and the people surrounding me in that world. So, I was wondering: Is there a world that you guys would recomend for me, or every world is the same? I rather be with friendly people than ragers or people that don’t talk at all in the game.

Can people of the same guild be in different worlds?

NA or EU?
Yes, you can have people of different servers on the same Guild (even if you are NA and they are EU), and you can guest on other servers from the same continent and do your normal play as you would on your own server (you just can’t do WvW if guesting), which means that even if in different servers you can still do Dungeons, Guild Missions or regular quests together that applies for both guild members or just any other casual player you may want to play with.

I live in Mexico lol, but I always pick NA servers in every game, it’s sad you can’t jump from regions as easy as it was in GW1. In GW1 I tended to jump from NA to Spain all the time.

Yes, that’s the only problem. I belive theres one Spanish Server in EU, as well as many that speak English, so perhaps you would prefer to choose a EU server as your Home World so you could speak your main language; but i don’t know how much this would affect your connection – im assuming that if you have lag issues, since NA is closer, it could be better for playing purposes.

Every world is different. What kind of people suit you depends on what kind of person you are.

If in doubt, start on a random world and then guest to different worlds to find out.

Server isn’t going to be useful for too much over the year after the 15th except for WvW anyway so pick the one that has a name that pleases you most. If you’re into WvW check the leaderboards for one that suits your competitive nature and join one of those guilds.
