How’s the new update with the new map?

I left because I couldn’t take these new maps with how confusing they are to navigate, bad rewards, no fun meta. Was not a fan of bloodstone fen either. Loved maps like orr, SW, and dry top. (Love player driven maps not these timers)

So how’s the new maps meta, player driven or timed driven? Rewards any good? Any cool armor to really work towards that requires a lot of replay?

The meta in EB are more similar to Orr… i.e you do some sort of escort, collection, etc quest to trigger the boss event. Each meta is self contained, one for each heart essentially.

The map itself is essentially flat, but the distances you traverse means you’ll want the relevant masteries. The rewards are similar to BF, the main draws are the ascended accessory and backpack, although the achievements do give armor parts.

You best log in and have a look if only to unlock the episode in case you want return in the future

Here’s a radical thought …. why don’t you log back in yourself? There is no monthly fee, you obviously already paid for the game since you are posting here and you already bought HoT. There is no more for you to pay out except some time to see for YOURSELF how YOU like it. No one can give you that information since no else is just like you.

Exactly , hate this kind of post, how anyone will know what a person will like or not, like you need someone to say that you will like it for you to like it? Cant you make your own opinion ?? Just go and test it for yourself stop asking for others to say it as it will make 0 difference for you to like it or not.

If you think the rewards are bad on the new map, I can’t but help think you missed the April update because most people find the rewards on the new maps to be good.

As for the confusion, they’re only confusing until you understand them. If you won’t take the time to do that, they’re going to be confusing. I’ve showed a lot of people around the new maps, and I’m happy to do it again if you’re interested, as long as you’re on a US server.

But the rewards are actually quite good on the new maps…all of them.

Most people try the new maps, give up on them fast, because they’re confusing or hard and they miss out.

There are many posts on these forums by people who gave them a second chance and learned to not just edure them, but started to enjoy them.

The new zone is possibly more to your liking, but no one can really tell you what you’ll like. For example, many people who didn’t like the HOT zones really like Bloodstone Fen.

If you left the game because you don’t like Bloodstone Fen, I wouldn’t recommend that you even ask about returning until the next Expac is out. The fundamentals of the game are going to stay largely the same, even though (as many have pointed out) the implementation has gotten much, much better in lots of people’s opinions.

I don’t mean to suggest you should buy the next expac — it’s just a benchmark in time for when to check back in. That’s the point at which they’ll have decided what their new fundamentals will be, including elite specializations, masteries, rewards, and (the key topic mentioned by the OP) map design.
