Watch from time to time the areas you’re missing. Try to work on your color side first, for exemple if you’re green try to get all the green part of the map and the Kaineng borderlands. The best time for mapping is friday before and after reset, because before reset people are usually tired of defending and cap a lot of things and after reset there’s a rush to cap most of the map the fastest way possible. I also strongly encourage you to take part in the WwW activity instead of just getting your map comp. done, as you could enjoy this game mode much more than you think. Getting on ts/ listening to the com will make fights smoother, get you a win, and thus makins your completion faster. Good luck!

Ya, just understand this will not happen overnight. Probably 99% of people leave WvW until last, which is the worst thing you can do, from a frustration point of view. You may have to wait weeks or months to get some of the POIs and vistas. Just be prepared – you will need plenty of patience.
I agree with oxtred that you should definitely learn what you can about WvW, maybe try to find a good guild that is into it and can teach you some tactics. Check your build and make sure you’re going to have the best chance at helping out and surviving. Use food/buffs. Follow commanders.
It’ll take time, but I hope you’re like many others, including myself, who fell in love with the game mode. It’s much more fun and exciting than doing the PvE stuff for the umpteenth time. Have fun!
