Hello i want to know what peoples opinions are on ranger or thief i want to be in the big fights i have tried my hand at all the others and have a 80 necro 80 mesmer 80 engineer and a 80 elementalist and i just don’t find them enjoyable anymore (used to love necro) so i was wondering if people could tell me how rangers and thiefs fare in WvW not roaming of course and what roles they can run in WvW.

They are both probably the worst classes possible for zerging. But they can still be ok with a decent build

But at least with mesmers you are still useful and can bring something unique to the group. Thieves and rangers provide pretty much nothing another class can’t already. That said, check out the respective classes forum page if you want to try and find a build
